MEET STACY RUDE
I’m Stacey Rude - proud mom of four amazing adult children and happily married to my husband, David, for 28 wonderful years. This is my little corner of creativity where I share my love for sewing, storytelling, and all things handmade.
My sewing journey began in 2019, quite by accident, when I signed up for a backpack-making class. I had never even hemmed a pair of pants before—but I was instantly hooked! What started as a fun challenge quickly turned into a true passion.
When the pandemic hit, a friend asked me to sew a mask. One mask turned into more than a hundred as I taught myself through YouTube tutorials and endless experimentation. From there, I moved on to tote bags and pencil pouches, eventually working my way up to purses and more intricate designs. Over time, I graduated from simple cotton fabrics to vibrant vinyls and luxe leathers - materials that reflect my love for bold, beautiful craftsmanship
INSPIRED BY ISLAND LIFE
I live on the gorgeous San Juan Island off the coast of Washington State, where the natural beauty and peaceful setting inspire me daily. The local community of makers and artists has also played a big role in fueling my creativity and growth. I love playing with patterns, textures, and embellishments, and I’m always looking for new ways to challenge myself.
